Matty reminded me about my long abandoned blog. He said he missed reading my posts (but I tell him everything everyday so I don't really see why he'd want to read what he heard again). But for the sake of the rest of the people who still check this page now and again, I've decided to start blogging again. Not religiously, but hopefully at least ONCE a week. For those who don't know, I'm currently doing my Orthopedics and Trauma block. It's been quite crazy so far, because of the dumb scheduling of tutorials ie one at 12.30pm, another at 4.30pm everyday (except wed n fri). So I had to rush (run) from one place to another, especially during the past 2 weeks where the clinics and theatre were like miles away (different hospitals). I've got muscular legs and super sore metatarsals now so.. :( the worst thing is I don't think I've learnt terribly alot cuz apparently I'm some sort of jinx (seriously, one of the nurses told me this). wherever i go, patients don't turn up, or nth happens. I really don't know what to do T.T But anyway, 3rd week now and I'm in A&E, one of the weeks i've been really looking forward to. I had quite a crappy morning cuz the consultant in the ward round totally ignored me and taught the 5th yr blonde instead. Fine. I got blood from a man alright so that was good. And learnt abit about paracetamol poisoning. all good. Tried to clerk in a patient, and was totally pushed away by the fy1 who came in and took over in the middle :s gosh wtf la.. after lunch i was in clinics with Luke~ he's such a gentleman  me likes.. saw him later at minor injuries, stitching up a guy's injured scalp.. so damn hot la *drools* there was also another doc 'sargeant' there, equally hot.. and im like, ok i like this place. ^-^ there was also this STR dude, dr John Lee who totally reminded me of Lee Soo Han omglol.. but like the more leng cai and yeng version of him? (sorry man) apparently he's from HK.. n he's like one of the top there.. so im just gonna tag after him and hopefully he'll teach me lots. i think i'm gonna like A&E :) hope there'll be more lukes and sargeants and HK movie stars...lol. Planning to go oncall on friday and saturday night.. hopefully will get to stich someone up :p |
